Early chapter books, designed for this age group, help kids transition from picture books to novels to become independent readers. The author of more than thirty award-winning books for readers of all ages, Woodson’s work is relevant, personal, and thought–provoking whether she writes fiction, nonfiction, poetry or short stories.
