Join acclaimed novelist and memoirist Lee Martin for a discussion about the art of storytelling. Lee will focus on his first novel (of four), Quakertown, and his new book, Telling Stories: The Craft of Narrative and the Writing Life, to give a sense of what it takes to keep writing and learning over the course of a life-long apprenticeship.

Lee Martin is the author of four novels, including Late One Night and The Bright Forever, a finalist for the 2006 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction. He has also published three memoirs, most recently Such a Life. His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in such places as Harper's, Ms., Creative Nonfiction, The Georgia Review, The Kenyon Review, The Southern Review, Glimmer Train, The Best American Mystery Stories, and The Best American Essays. He is the winner of the Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Ohio Arts Council. He teaches in the MFA Program at The Ohio State University.
