Herb Brown is the author of two novels: Presumption of Guilt (#10 on the Doubleday national list) and Shadows of Doubt (a selection of The Literary Guild).  Seven of his plays have been professionally produced.  He was elected a Justice on the Ohio Supreme Court after many years as a trial lawyer.  The facts of a case Brown heard while on the Court inspired him to write Darkness Lies In Wait.

Jonathan Fredrick is the author of the Cain City Series (Cash City, Hum Little Birdie, and Bad Men Will Come), which were inspired in part by his hometown of Huntington, West Virginia. After spending 15+ years living in Los Angeles and working as a writer, filmmaker, and actor, Jonathan now resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and three sons.
