Melissa Barrett is the author of Moon on Roam, a collection of poems forthcoming from Gold Wake Press in the summer of 2019. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2019 and is the recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award, a Tin House writer’s scholarship, an Oboh Prize, a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Prize, the Koppenhaver Prize, and a Galway Kinnell scholarship from the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley. Her poems have received honors from Gulf Coast, The Iowa Review, Indiana Review, Better, Meridian, Diagram, Sonora Review, Boxcar Poetry Review, and Narrative. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in BOMB, Gulf Coast, Harvard Review, The Kenyon Review Online, Animal Shelter, Best New Poets, and Best American Poetry. She holds degrees from Sarah Lawrence College and Wittenberg University and works at a middle school in Columbus, Ohio.
Anthony Madrid is the author of three books of poems: I Am Your Slave Now Do What I Say and Try Never, from Canarium Books (2012 and 2017) and There was an Old Man with a Springbok, just out from Prelude. His poems have appeared in Best American Poetry, Boston Review, Fence, Harvard Review, Lana Turner, LIT, and Poetry. He lives in Victoria, Texas.
